Time Traveler Convention

Image yourself in May 7 of 3005. This day has been known for generations as the Time Traveler Convention Day, an event of a huge importance. To visit the convention the only thing you need to do is to call your friends up, jump in to a time machine and quickly ride to … May 7 of 2005.

So, as you figured out, the Time Traveler Convention needs to be organized only once; any other year you would just travel back to May of 2005. Sounds strange, isn’t? Indeed, but this event in fact will be held tomorrow at M.I.T Campus.

Is that possible? The idea itself is cool, but today’s physics and, more importantly, mathematics suggests that trips back in time are not possible. It has been mathematically proven that any attempts to travel in to past will lead to an unresolvable paradox. If you’d like to know more, Stanford University has a nice page, just for you.
